What you can expect to do here:

• You'll be using the Canadian Electrical Code in conjunction with the knowledge of dozens of Engineers within our group to aid you to design electrical schematics used by Contractors.

• You'll be managing relationships with internal and external clients to ensure that their needs are understood and met.

• You'll ensure that the appropriate background research and analysis is completed in consultation with the appropriate government agencies.

• You'll design electrical documents within AutoCAD, to create project packages to send to clients.

• You may have the opportunity to conduct field examinations of work performed to ensure projects are heading on the right track and that the work done is up to WSP standard.

• You'll get to be a part of a friendly and social office, with many team events to make lifelong connections.

• You'll communicate directly with BC hydro or Fortis BC to coordinate the project needs for electrical service.

What you'll bring to WSP:

• Electrical Engineering student (Preferred 3rd or 4th year).

• At least a small understanding of AutoCAD 2D is required (Strong skills are an asset).

• Keen and modest attitude.

• Knowledge of 3-phase electricity including transmission & distribution.

• Desire to work not only in a technical environment, but also a social one.

• Knowledge of voltage transformation, harmonics and power quality is an asset.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $24-30/hr
