The mission of the Data & Analytics Department is to maximize the value of Aritzia's data by making it available, insightful and actionable to foster a culture of data-driven decision making.

As a member of the Data & Analytics Platform Department, you will be part of the team responsible for providing the processes, platforms and tools to deliver world class Data & Analytics products. As the Senior Engineer, Digital Platform, you will leverage modern software development and operational practices to support a comprehensive approach to Digital Analytics-ensuring the right data is collected, and the appropriate tools and technologies are in place to support in-depth understanding and analysis. The typical hiring range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Additionally, this position may be eligible for bonus.

THE ROLE
As the Senior Engineer, Digital Platform, you will:
- Design and implement scalable analytics solutions across Aritzia's digital properties, establishing best practices for tracking infrastructure, data collection, and documentation.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to create measurement plans, ensuring data requirements align with business objectives for both new and existing digital initiatives.
- Leverage server-side data activation to drive 1st party insights, enhancing decision-making, digital advertising effectiveness, and personalized customer experiences across all digital touchpoints.
- Integrate customer consent and privacy preferences from the outset of all digital experiences, ensuring compliance with global privacy legislation while maintaining the integrity and reliability of digital analytics data.
- Utilize advanced segmentation, experimentation, and journey orchestration to optimize the digital customer experience across all platforms.

- Proven skills, education, and/or applicable certifications in:
- Advanced knowledge and experience with web, app, and digital experience analytics platforms.
- Expertise in designing and implementing scalable digital tracking infrastructures, including both client-side and server-side tag management, app telemetry, and creating unified event streams that consolidate customer interactions across all digital touchpoints.
- Comprehensive understanding of data activation strategies, with a particularly focus on leveraging server-side data activation to drive 1st-party insights.
- In-depth knowledge of global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their practical application in digital environments ensuring compliance and data protection.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and hands-on experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile product management setting.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, React/React Native, with solid knowledge of SQL.
- Prior experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, or omni-channel retailing is preferred.
