Job Description

A career within Corporate Tax services will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You'll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners and owners. You'll also provide advice on tax implications of deals helping organizations throughout the investment life cycle with acquisitions, operations, dispositions, and all manner of transactions.The Real Estate and Financial Services Corporate Tax team helps its clients improve their tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making. You'll advise entrepreneurial businesses on tax strategy matters, ensure compliance with complex tax reporting, increase after-tax profits with transaction structuring, and ultimately help our clients navigate the increasingly complex tax landscape.

Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a Real Estate Corporate Tax Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to partners and other senior team members
• Be involved in the financial management of clients
• Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
• Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
• Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
• Assist in the management and delivering of large projects for prominent public and private clients
• Train, coach, mentor, and supervise staff
• Collaborate with our outsourced delivery centres including the development of tax automation processes and tools
• Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
• Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal/recognized designation
• Completion of the In-depth Level I & II is an asset
• Strong technical background and broad-based tax skills with proven experience in a professional services firm or in industry tax consulting and/or compliance experience
• A collaborative leader with strong business development and entrepreneurial skills and possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical capability, sound business sense and creative mind that have earned you the reputation of providing excellence in client service
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments in an organized manner
• Ability to manage, develop, retain and mentor junior tax professionals
• Proficiency in using current technologies, particularly the MS Office Suite of applications
• When applying to a Quebec based opportunity, fluency in French is required. Outside of Quebec, fluency in French is an asset

PwC BC Region Pay Range Information

The salary range* for this position is $82,300 - $137,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon your skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location.

*Please note that the salary range for this position is reflected for our British Columbia region. Given our national recruiting approach, we recruit (and may hire) in other regions and therefore the salary range may differ depending on the work location.
