Job Summary

The Team
The Navigation Operations team at HealthLink BC (HLBC) is dedicated to providing trusted and accessible health information and services to British Columbians and the Yukon 24/7, 365 days a year. This established team, composed of Health Service Navigators, Shift Leads, Clinical Programs Support, and more, play a vital role in triaging patients to the most appropriate area of care, supporting virtual physician consultations, and reducing the strain on emergency departments and other health care providers. Working collaboratively with internal and external partners, including physicians, pharmacists, BC Ambulance and more; this mission-driven team is passionate about enhancing integrated care across the health system, making a real difference in the lives of those we serve.

The Role
This role at HealthLink BC offers a unique opportunity to make a direct, positive impact on the lives of British Columbians and the Yukon by supporting their health journey and helping them navigate the complex health system. As a key member of this dedicated team, you will provide floor supervision, monitor call volumes, and manage real-time staffing to ensure service levels meet defined time and quality standards. Based in Langley and Burnaby, this engaging and purpose-driven position is supported by a professional and collaborative work environment where every contribution helps optimize health outcomes and create a meaningful difference for patients and providers alike.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent (within the last 5 years) supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent (within the last 5 years) experience working in or supporting a contact centre environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent (within the last 5 years) experience in standard computer applications including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and web navigation.


Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
  • Experience working in the health sector.
  • Who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit).

Willingness Statements
  • Ability to work specific types of shifts, shift patterns, or shift lengths that may range from 7-10 hours.
  • Ability to work shifts that may include days, evenings, and weekends to support a 24 hour / 7 day per week contact center environment.
  • Ability to work in an environment where schedules are subject to review and change to assure operational needs are met.
  • Ability to work in multi-sited offices.
  • Ability to work statutory holidays.
