Job Type: Regular, Full-Time
Salary Range: $88,990 - $127,923/year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate's relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 0800 - 1600

What you'll do
- Lead and support the strategy, development and implementation of clinical workflow design and change management initiatives to support clinical and business practice in the adoption and implementation of clinical and surveillance system initiatives in alignment with the Provincial Clinical Business Framework for Public Health Information Management.
- Act as a change agent/escalation point for clinical issues and constraints in the identification, development, planning, implementation, and sustainment of clinical informatics strategies in support of quality public health care and professional practice.
- Lead and support teams to develop clinical data/documentation and workflow standardization across all public health. Incorporates clinical informatics research and evidence-based knowledge into practice.
- Develop clinical performance indicators to identify trends/discrepancies for purposes of performance measurement and analysis ensuring a correct course of action.
- Oversee and manage the prioritizing of functional change requests, reporting and monitoring of issues, and implementation of communication strategies.
- Oversee and manage a suite of standardized provincial training materials.
- Lead functional user acceptance testing and responsible for business sign-off.
- Participate in lean process improvement initiatives such as imPROVE and ensure all process changes are aligned to the lean methodology endorsed by the site.
- Develop policies and procedures in support of clinical applications ensuring best practice models for service delivery.
What you bring
Qualifications
- A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor of Nursing Degree or related field, plus five (5) years recent related experience in BC public health services, and an information systems environment, including a minimum of two (2) years recent experience in an application leadership role.
- Proven hands-on specialized experience with business applications such as Panorama solutions.
Skills & Knowledge
- Exceptional leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in a clinical setting. Accurate and detail oriented.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional customer focus and strong professional acumen.
- Highly organized and adept to managing multiple priorities.
- Extensive experience working with personal computers, particularly MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
- As a strong asset for consideration, we are looking for our successful candidate to have: Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities of settler colonialism on Indigenous Peoples and familiarity with addressing Indigenous-specific anti-racism, anti-racism and Indigenous Cultural Safety and foundational documents and legislative commitments (The Declaration Act, the Declaration Action Plan, TRC, IPS, Remembering Keegan, etc.).
