We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Cardiac Testing-ECG/Holter department.
In accordance with established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate Cardiology Technologist performs techniques relating to Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, Holter and event Recorders and pacemaker monitoring and other types of diagnostic cardiac equipment.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Wednesday-Friday then Thursday-Friday rotating week to week, Days - 08:00 to 16:00, 07:00 to 15:00
University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) is the largest acute care facility (268 beds) in Northern Health and is the hub for specialized health services. It is a full service hospital and home to a new cancer centre for Northern BC, including a wide range of cancer treatments. Provides undergraduate physician training through the Northern Medical Program, run by the University of British Columbia and University of Northern British Columbia. UHNBC is also a key clinical education site for nursing and many health sciences students at UNBC, the College of New Caledonia, BCIT and other institutions.
Prince George has a population of 89,490 (2021) local residents and is a service centre for approximately 320,000. Qualfications
• Diploma in Cardiology Technology plus 2 years recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Successful completion of the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologist (CSCT) certification exam.
• Eligible for membership with the Cardiology Technologist Association of British Columbia (CTABC).

• Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and a commitment to excellence in the provision of client care.
• Equipment: Demonstrated computer skills including the use of Meditech and Windows based programs. Demonstrated data analysis skills including appropriate data analysis and reporting tools. Demonstrated ability in the use of e-mail and word processing. Ability to operate other related equipment as required in the specific practice area.
