Associate Planner, Exit
Are you ready to drive strategic execution of country and category inventory flow and exit placement? If you bring 1-3 years of merchandise planning experience, along with expert Excel skills and a keen eye for detail, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a 3-month contract through December 2024, with preference for a start date as soon as possible.

Who – The Company: 
Our client is a Vancouver company with global operations and an impeccable reputation. They are a people-centric organization, known for their collaborative team culture.

What- The Role:
The Exit team is responsible for the inventory management of all exit strategies, focusing day to day on exit channels – outlets, hybrids, warehouse sales, saleable damages, donations/debrand. The goal is to support the business in providing a premium brand experience by planning and executing clearance strategies to maximize sales at the highest possible margin.

This position is responsible for strategic execution of country and category inventory flow, including optimization of exit inventory placement across channels and locations. Teamwork and clear communication are essential.  You are an essential part of the cross functional team collaborating with planning, merchandising, store operations, S&OP and DC’s. You have razor sharp attention to detail but also able to think big picture.

  • Drives strategic execution of Exit inventory flow through establishment & adjustment of inventory parameters to impact replenishment and allocation activities. 
  • Leverages systems, tools, and data to optimize inventory investments across store locations, distribution centers, and e-commerce channels.
  • Analyzes historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities to business and recommends strategies to achieve financial goals.
  • Executes planning, reporting, analysis/decision support under the direction of an exit planner
  • Executes detailed analysis to drive category performance
  • Drive financial results that maximize sales, inventory and bottom-line profitability
  • Prepare and participate in Business Review meetings and Store enrollment calls
  • Exhibit initiative to look beyond the everyday business to look for opportunities to maximize sales potential
Who- the Candidate: 
•       College certificate or University degree is required
•       1-3 years merchandise planning experience
•       Previous experience with merchandise and planning systems.
•       Expert knowledge of Excel is required.
•       Excellent team player as well as the ability to work independently.
•       Effective communication skills (written & verbal)
•       Extremely organized, thorough and able to prioritize
•       Detail orientated
•       Strong ability to see the merchandise vision and translate the vision into viable plans.
•       Results oriented – strong sense of motivation
•       Self directed problem solver, proactive and resourceful

How much: $37-38/hr + 4% vacation pay.

Where: Vancouver, hybrid schedule, 3 days onsite, 2 remote.
