Salary Band 13 (Minimum- $101,172, Control Point- $134,896, Maximum- $155,130). Placement within a salary band is typically up to the Control Point based on a review of skills, experience and internal equity. The College may place over Control Point in limited circumstances.

• Leading and overseeing the delivery of student services, ensuring alignment with the College's strategic direction.
• Collaborating with campus partners to develop and implement initiatives that support student learning, development, and success.
• Managing and supporting student conduct issues, case management and crisis intervention.
• Fostering strong relationships with SAS faculty, campus partners, and the Douglas Students' Union.
• Overseeing budgets, planning, and resource allocation within the SAS portfolio.
• Leading and mentoring staff teams, ensuring effective service delivery and professional development.

WHAT IT TAKES
• Demonstrated abilities that align with the Douglas College Core Competency Framework ;
• Established professional credibility as evidenced by a Master's Degree in education, higher education administration, social work, community planning, or related field from an accredited post-secondary institution;
• A minimum of five (5) years of related experience in a similar position including providing student services in a post secondary context;
• A minimum of three (3) years of progressive leadership and administrative experience in a post-secondary or relevant setting;
• Excellent people management skills;
• Understanding and demonstrated commitment to principles of equity, diversity and inclusion;
• Understanding and demonstrated commitment to Indigenization;
• Understanding of best practices in the Student Affairs and Services field, including one or more of the following: Student Support & Conduct, Accessibility Services, Student Life and Wellness;
• Proven capacity to manage change and a demonstrated ability to drive innovations from conception through to implementation;
• Demonstrated success in handling highly sensitive issues in complex environments.
