Who- the Company:Our client has an over 40-year history of creating wildly successful products that are sold across North America and beyond- there is a good chance you will have heard of this company’s products! They have a very fast-paced culture and values that promote teamwork, trust, and sincerity. The company has close to 2000 employees and is growing quickly!
What- the Role:Due to continued business growth and success, and the subsequent increase of volume and complexity in the AP function, our client needs a great new resource on their accounting and finance team (~100 employees in the accounting function world-wide). The AP team of 9 people processes approximately one thousand invoices every day, in multiple currencies. The new Accounts Payable Team Lead will manage 3-4 direct reports on and will oversee their work and take care of escalated issues.
- Leadership- hiring, training, monthly check-ins, mentoring, coaching, performance management, etc.
- Credit Management- monitor and manage credit
- Vendor Management- investigate and resolve issues with vendors
- Month-End- support month-end close and year-end audit
- Process Improvement- contribute to ongoing process improvements on the AP team.
- Reporting- prepare and present reports related to AP metrics and data
- Documentation & Compliance- ensure the company is following documented SOPs (standard operating procedures) and complying with policies and internal controls.
We are looking for an AP professional who leads by example and who is hands-on and collaborative. This is a great company for someone who loves working in a fast-paced, interesting, and high-volume work environment. Candidates will have at least 5 years and ideally 7+ years progressive accounts payable experience. We are looking for folks who have experience formally leading at least a couple direct reports. Qualified candidates will be computer savvy with ability to learn new systems quickly. Experience using workflow automation tools such as Kofax, Laserfiche, and/or Concur is an asset. Must have solid intermediate-level Excel skills (various formulas and functions, look-ups, etc.).
How Much:This company provides a generous total compensation package including a performance-based bonus, an RRSP match, a profit-sharing program, professional development support (if relevant and approved), and a customizable health benefits plan. The base salary will be commensurate with experience, in the range of $60,000 to $75,000. Please discuss your total compensation expectations in more detail with SWIM!
Where:Hybrid in Vancouver.
Based full-time in the company’s beautiful Vancouver head office (outside of the downtown core). Accessible by car, bike, walking, bus, and SkyTrain. After initial training, the AP Team Lead can choose to work from home 2 days a week.
