What- the Role:
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a new Accountant to join the Accounting & Finance team at the corporate headquarters.  The Accountant will report directly into the Accounting Manager and will work alongside other Accountants. This is a well-rounded corporate accounting role involving financial reporting, preparing balance sheets, preparing income statements, preparing financial statements, completing intercompany reconciliations, conducting variance analysis, contributing to forecasting, and generally supporting month/quarter/year-end.  

Who- the Candidate:
We are seeking accounting professionals who enjoy engaging and challenging work in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with a close-knit team. Qualified candidates will have at least 4 years of progressive accounting work experience. CPA designation is required. Experience working in a global company with finances in multiple currencies is a significant asset, not necessarily required… but candidates do need to have familiarity working in a complex multi-entity company with lots of moving parts. Must have hands-on experience using a sophisticated ERP (i.e. SAP, MS Dynamics, Oracle, etc.) and proficiency in Excel. Training in a public practice firm is beneficial, but not required.

Where: 
Downtown Vancouver with some hybrid flexibility. Close to public transit and many amenities like restaurants and shops. Once they’ve completed onboarding and training, the Accountant can choose to work from home 1 day a week, possibly 2 days a week (depending on what is going on at the office)

How Much: 
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and skills, in the range of $84,000 to $90,000, perhaps with some upwards wiggle room for someone who has all the preferred qualifications.
