Execute the end-to-end process for Canadian debt sales, including but not limited to performing extensive data analysis to determine which accounts can be sold, perform processing to move accounts through the ECP workflow, submit bulk requests to update host system data, prepare and distribute contract documents for execution, ensure appropriate risk controls are in place and functioning. Oversee that debt sale accounting is completed accurately and in a timely manner, recommend and implement measures to improve efficiencies and reduce manual processing, participate in audit and compliance validation activities, manage buyer requests, participate in RFP and strategy projects to ensure BMO is maximizing revenue to the bank. Participate in development and implementation of system / technology enhancements that continually improve processes, prepare, and distribute monthly reports, reconcile all account discrepancies, and maintain master documentation for all accounts sold. Must be a self starter and autonomous, able to deliver on accountabilities independently and collaborate with others.

  • Delivers exceptional customer service that builds trust through process expertise, service, and support to internal BMO colleagues within Canadian Collections, other lines of business and external partners.
  • Develops rapport and instills confidence with buyers to develop credibility and earn their trust as relationship manager.
  • Addresses escalated buyer questions, requests, and transactions.
  • Executes the end-to-end processes/procedures for debt sale.
  • Sends out client communications, processes transactions and interacts with internal stakeholders to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Develops action plans and solutions to maximize recovery and safeguard the Bank's interests.
  • Act as a key support contact to assist departments in achieving goals.
  • Reviews accounts and analyzes data and information to determine whether accounts are eligible for debt sale; provide insights and recommendations.
  • Gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports, creating and updating pivot tables.
  • Completes report audits and spot checks as required.
  • Develops and executes short term tactics/plans to drive specific behaviours, activities, and results.
  • Collaborates in efficient functioning of collections life cycle and understands downstream impacts on decisions to quality of debt sale populations.
  • Follows documented policies and procedures to execute transactions, activities, and processes.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing changes to make processes more effective and efficient.
  • Develops and maintains awareness of industry trends and best practices and the regulatory environment as it relates to collections products and services.
  • Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
  • Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Salary :

$42,300.00 - $78,400.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
