5 Online, No Experience Legitimate Jobs

By

There is no way you haven’t come across one of those comments on an article where the poster claims you can earn $1000 in two hours with no experience or some equally ridiculous amount. If you keep up on the news on job scams, you probably roll your eyes and go about your day as you should.

There is no job out there where your salary would be disproportionate to your experience. You can be underpaid but rarely overpaid. However, there are legitimate online jobs you can do that don’t require a huge amount of experience. Mostly, it requires patience and passion on your part.

Let’s check out 5 of those among many that you can find on BCJobs

5 No Experience Real Online Jobs

1. Virtual Assistant

Did you know an average salary of a virtual assistant is around $16 per hour?

The typical job description of a virtual assistant includes filing and maintaining virtual paperwork, creating memos, scheduling meetings, responding to emails and phone calls on behalf of the employer, and other regular clerical tasks.

For the most part, you have to be confident, well-spoken, and good at written communication for the job. Otherwise, you can be trained in most aspects of the job over a short period.

Employers typically ask for a high school diploma from those applying for the role, but some might prefer a college degree.

2. Online Writer

In broader terms, online writers create content of various kinds on the internet. This ranges from copywriters who write short content for selling a product or service to content writers who write informational content to inform the target audience of a brand.

Technical and medical writers exist, in addition to video script writers for YouTube videos and similar platforms. Even LinkedIn posts from some of your favorite influencers could be the work of a ghostwriter.

To get online writing jobs, you need to have strong skills with words, some knowledge of SEO, and writing samples to land your first job. These samples can be your private copies or ones you upload as blogs or posts.

3. Community Manager

Not enough people are aware of this unique role. Community managers are responsible for taking care of the social media groups of a brand.

This includes moderating the discussion on channels such as slack and online forums of the brand. They also have to remove and add members to the group and communicate with them frequently.

The role is best suited for people who love communicating online and have the patience to sift through walls of texts.

4. Proofreader

Proofreaders have an average salary of $18 per hour

The job entitles looking over walls of texts before a brand publishes it. You act as a second eye to ensure nothing wrong or untoward is written. This can develop into the role of an editor, where you might change the wording to offer more clarity in the paragraphs.

While you don’t require it, an English degree would typically work in your favour.

5. Data Entry

Data entry is a job with no requirement on the experience front. It’s a job for those with an eye for detail, the patience to sort through multiple documents, and confidence in their actions.

The job requires you to take the information from a printed sheet or document and record it digitally on some sort of database. You have to copy every word rigorously, as you have to check for errors.

Since this job is almost entirely online, there are chances of job scams. So, carefully evaluate job descriptions before applying.

Final Thoughts

There are also other online jobs, such as graphic designing and social media management, which mostly ask for creativity on your part. Take your time to research the one you like and apply after giving some time to prepare yourself.
